Tokyo Dome Hotel was recently informed of a data security incident at FASTBOOKING, a third-party hotel reservations provider, including those managed by Tokyo Dome Hotel.

What Happened ?

FASTBOOKING operates the hotel reservations system, which facilitates the booking of hotel reservations made by individuals. FASTBOOKING discovered June 19, 2018 that an unauthorized party gained access to personal information associated with certain hotel reservations made through our hotel website. This incident involved certain guest reservations processed from January 24, 2018 until June 19, 2018.

What Information Was Involved ?

The unauthorized party was able to access guest name, email address, nationality, and address. At this stage of FASBOOKING's investigation discovered no evidence that information such as payment card data was accessed.

What Affected Individuals Can Do

FASTBOOKING explains that the source of the intrusion is under control and the necessary steps have been taken to prevent the incident from recurring. Tokyo Dome Hotel has already informed the supervisory authority in Japan of this data breach. If affected individuals receive an email using our hotel name, asking for a payment, a credit card number, or any other confidential information, do not answer.
